The City Council of the City of Bellaire, Texas, will meet in a Workshop Session on Monday, May 23, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. for the following purpose(s):

 

A.        CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF A QUORUM – Mayor Cindy Siegel.

 

B.        PRESENTATION of proposed amendments considered by the Charter Review Commission to the Charter of the City of Bellaire, Texas, as amended November 13, 1987:

 

·         Amendments 1, 2, 3, and 4 – presented by Commissioner Bill Borden, followed by questions from the City Council;

 

·         Amendments 5, 6, 7, and 8 – presented by Commissioner Catherine Wernet-Marx, followed by questions from the City Council;

 

·         Amendments 9, 10, 11, and 12 – presented by Commissioner Jim Avioli, followed by questions from the City Council;

 

·         Amendments 13, 14, 15, and 16 – presented by Vice Chair and Commissioner Pauline McRae, followed by questions from the City Council;

 

·         Amendments 17, 18, 19, and 20 – presented by Commissioner Forrest Jenkins, followed by questions from the City Council;

 

·         Amendments 21, 22, 23, and 24 – presented by Chair and Commissioner J. Patrick Hughes for Commissioner Bill Stone, followed by questions from City Council;

 

·         Amendments 25, 26, 27, and 28 – presented by Commissioner Alexia Sidney, followed by questions from City Council; and

 

·         Amendments 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33 – presented by Commissioner Lynn McBee, followed by questions from City Council.

 

C.        SUMMARY PRESENTATION of Minority Report dated April 13, 2005 – Chair J. Patrick Hughes, Charter Review Commission.

 

D.        SUMMARY PRESENTATION of Minority Report dated May 10, 2005 – Commissioners Bill Borden and Forrest Jenkins, Charter Review Commission.
